October 2009 Update

Well how about that for a month of mobile news? Orange and T-Mobile announce a network merger and O2’s excusive grip on the iPhone finally runs out opening the door for Orange and Vodafone to do deals. These are just a couple of reasons why at HSC we stand up for choice and independence. You never quite know what is coming round the corner, so holding as many cards as you can is probably the safest bet for an enduring mobile business.

An HSC trading account is not just for airtime you know. We also hold a broad range of the latest and greatest SIM Free handsets as well as a selection of laptops and web books. Through our parent company’s extensive buying power we are able to provide hardware to you for your customers at very competitive prices. Check out real-time pricing and availability in our online store where you can also order goods with free carriage for next working day delivery. Airtime and hardware stock can all go on the same account, on the same order, and connection commissions will automatically offset SIM Free invoices through our weekly payment system.

As well as our commitment to lead the mobile channel we are also dedicated to being at the forefront of the emerging convergence market. This month sees the launch of Joined Up communications from O2 adding traditional fixed line to the mobile landline proposition. Mobile dealers can now provide their SME customers with a robust fixed line package with discounted line rentals all on the same blue bill as the mobiles. We will be exhibiting at Convergence Summit South on 13th and 14th October where visitors can learn all about it.

So the golden quarter kicks off with some pretty strong propositions from most of the networks. There are also some great new devices lined up for launch shortly. Look out for the next batch of bespoke POS from HSC to freshen up your displays and drive more traffic in store. We’ll also have an electronic version this quarter for you to use proactively. If you are a VIP in The Mobile Club make sure you keep 18th December free for a trip to Bournemouth as we are planning an event you will definitely not want to miss!
